Supporting Research

The aim of the Foundation is to improve the quality of life and patient care through medical research. Research will help us better understand the causes of venous disease whereby more effective treatments can be developed, resulting in improved patient care in the years to come.

Donations can be made to the Foundation to establish scholarships for research in the field of phlebology. The scholarship will be appropriately named after the donor and will be advertised for research students enrolled at Australian or New Zealand Universities.The donor or his/her representative will be asked to confirm the appointment and will be informed annually of the progress of each student. The scholarships will last for 2 years for a Masters student and 3 years for a PhD student, with the possibility of a 6 month extension under extraordinary circumstances. Once the student has completed their project or no longer requires financial assistance, the scholarship will be re-advertised.
